Pretty sure it'll work the same way as pay-per-view ads work for webpage since that's how their monetary gain will be calculated.

My point exactly. Since AO has had it for years, and it's hardly possible to see ingame ads anywhere - it's not really much of a trend.

There were talks about in-game ads in Acclaim games before, but no official announcements. The article was posted on 4th January 2007 on mmosite.com, its not that old ... Even if this is old news no one posted it here, so I did to share the info with the OnRPG community.

Same thing happened with BF2142, And there is a patch to block them all. expect the same thing to happen in any game since people feel it ruins the realism or the Fantasy of the game.
Whats really gonna be good is when you go play the game and see nothing but WOW Advertisements in your F2p mmo. hah haha hahhaha
