    Default To cold for school?

Today we didn't have school. And now its canceled for tomorrow too. Yet there isn't much snow on the ground. Can school be canceled due to coldness? I guess because of people who walk or stand at the bus stop. Anyone else getting lucky with the temperature?

It can be if you have a fire drill when it's 7 freaking degrees out, it's lightly snowing, you have no jacket, and the teachers are shaking their freaking arses off.

That's why we had an apparently "snow day" when it was like 2'' high.

at our school, if the temperature drops below 10 degrees, there isnt school, no matter how much snow is on the ground or how sunny it is.

    luckily, that happened today.

It really depends. It is -30 celcius with the wind chill here. We didn't have school today because the wind was effing strong, and the snow was shifting everywhere, not to mention squalls. It was like that all day. Supposed to get the same shit tonight AND Wednesday. So tomorrow.. if it isn't snowing like it was today, which it probably will be, the school still might be closed due to the cold. Every road I can think of here in Perth County was closed. Probably the same old stuff tomorrow. It's starting to die down right now, and the road from Mitchell (where I live) to Stratford ( Highway 8 ) is open finally, but every other road is closed. They are calling for more crap tonight and tomorrow, so if we do get to school, and it get's really bad out. They'll call the parents and busses and all that back.

Well, I take a college class in the afternoon, which eats up half of my day...its called BOCES (I go for IT Tech. if anyone is wondering)...so when they close that I don't go. For about 8 out of the 10 hours I was awake today, I couldn't even see the end of my driveway, so I was glad I cut school today (they cancelled BOCES but not normal school :P)

It wasn't snowing too badly out this MORNING morning (7, when I usually go to school) but, we got about 2 feet today, so with any luck, I get another day of Maple training tomorrow xDDD)

It was only like -15 today, and of course we had school, but I was so I got to stay home =D It's gonna get as cold as -25 by saturday (about -35 wit wind chill), and then go back up, pretty sure schools will still be open though.

Highway 8 is closed again, ahahaha. I love snow! (I have a hat that says that, too. )

I'm thinking there's no school tomorrow.

In North Dakota, I doubt school will ever be cancelled because of the cold. <_<

Well I don't know where saint lives but if we see an ounce of snow here in the RDU area of NC, we go home. The officials claim it's because this is a high caution ice area, but it's because they have absolutely no plan in place.

Well I have only had ONE snowday in my life here in Canada, when I was like grade 2/3. That was when the snow was like over a foot.
