korean mmos are not boring grindfests because they are good! because koreans made them!

wow is boring because all you do is do quests, do instances, raids, grind, redo instances for better items, join clans, go pvp in alterac valley, go pvp in other places, and do the gladiator arena, go craft weapons, craft armor, learn new skills, travel around and experience new areas like snow, deserts, and grasslands, craft jewels, make trinkets and accessories, duel other people, run around having full maneuvrabilty of your character while in combat, unlike games like 2moons where you just stand still, buying and selling stuff in the stock market, and make bandages and food and have mounts.

you see, this is why wow sucks and is boring, korean mmos ftw! because koreans made them! look at all of our point and click games grindfests! wooooooot! korean!!!! ppooower!!! yeay! go koreaaa!!!!! yes!!!! yes!!!! **** all you american racists! stupid ****ing americans! stop stealing our games because we invented them! **** you all! KOREA POWER!!!!

i am korean, i only like korean mmos and american mmos make me mad, especially the ones that are successful like wow, i don't like american mmos because their made by americans and koreans are the best mmo makers because their koreans and koreans made most games today which americans say suck because it's true but i'm too ignorant to admit it. i hate american games and i will protect korean mmos by saying they are the best out there no matter what and american games suck, korean ftw because we made most mmos and americans are stealing it from us, i must keep my pride.

if there not korean mmos, then **** them, i don't care, why would i care if their not korean, i only care about korean mmos.
LOL i sure hope you were being sarcastic, but basically there is the typical korean gamer "i hate everything that isnt korean, **** america"

and to not be single sided, people need to remember that Korea only recently started developing mmorpgs, give them time to learn from their mistakes..
also, Asian mmorpgs ARNT Korean mmorpgs, they're 2 totally different things. Asia has been developing mmorpgs for ages now.

Well, I can understand why he's mad though. Sterotyping korean MMORPG's into all of them being utter crap isn't very well thought out. There are also american MMORPG's, japanese MMORPG's, every country that produces MMORPG's comes out with crap.

But then again you can also look at it this way. If they are making this many type of grindy MMO's then they will learn from their mistakes. If they do inface learn from their mistakes, in a few years they will deffinatly be making some of the best MMO's in the world.

Plus, if your going to say that America is the best game maker, look and DnL. That game was so hyped, and it REALLY sucked. There are good MMO's in developed by america though. Can't really think of any off the top of my head, but I'm sure that there's plenty.

Anyways, I think this whole thread kinda need's to stop...
He is upset that its been proven WoW is not the most popular game. Its just the most hyped game. And for as much stereotyping as he does about the Korean MMORPG market, it can be almost considered racist.

Not his fault he was raised narrow minded. He fails cause his parents failed.

I was not adopted, but I am Korean, and moved to the US in 1985. I try to play both sides of the fence, but I prefer Korean MMORPGs cause they dont feel like your a newbie in training, like most westernized MMORPGs (WoW is a perfect example). His type of people will always play this stereotyping game. Why? Pure ignorance and ill educated.

In truth, the #1 reason why you assume that the Koreans keep putting out crappy MMORPGs is cause you keep playing them. Thats the truth.... business is run on data..... any successful business will not start a project unless they get information to support the success of that project. There are some projects that work better in one region than another.

Now, if they keep coming out, it means the type of MMORPG is in demand. Thats the truth. In reality, it does show this. More prefer grinders and Korean MMORPGs than the western stylized MMOPRGs.

Am I wrong, why does the poll state other wise?

The output of Korean MMORPGs or similar MMOPRGS is controlled by demand. Its that simple. If you do not understand what that means, you have failed to understand how a business runs.

I just picked up on this.

Your really think this? Where did you hear this and when did you actually start playing/discover MMORPGs?

Name of Company : NCsoft, Inc.

    http://www.ncsoft.com/eng/nccompany/history.asp

    1997 NCSoft was established.
    1998 Lineage was introduced.

This really seems like the Koreans just started getting into the business of MMORPGs? Nope, in fact they were one of the first to get into it. I was playing korean MMORPGs before WoW came out. Not all of them were by NCSoft either, just one of them.

Please dont forget NCSOft is korean and they been titled "The #1 Creators/publishers of MMORPGs" for several years.

Blizzard is the one that recently joined the MMORPGs race, in 2004.

In truth, US/western market is fairly new in the MMORPG race. The only 2 surviving western conceptual MMORPG that came out during the time when MMORPGs first started, was Ultima Online and Sierra online( died out in 1997). From then on, not many western cencept MMORPGS came out till the turn of the millenium. Korean MMORPGs dominated since they began creating MMOPRGs, and NCSoft is the one that started the Korean MMORPGs wave.

Can you name the earliest MMORPG you played?

Siearra Online in 1993 or was it 94...... its was dial-up, ah the age of BBS.......

Tell me what is an MMORPG? A Massively Multipalyer Role Playing Game, right? Well that means as long as the game is massively multiplayer and has roleplaying its an mmorpg it does not have to have a stats and leveling system to be a mmorpg although most do.
Also monotonous is the exact opposite of what all those games are so I don't know where you got that idea from and you can't say its a fact because thats a matter of opinion.

That would (nearly) never happen. In the event that a company would do that, the game would end up with some neutralizing effects. Not only that, but you may even end up with another "Twilight Princess" (in terms of the amount of delays it had).
