With respect to the design (and not the current visual facts)

Part of the design plan behind the vista was based on that of gaming. supposedly Vista will have an online game purchases system, friend finder, and game matchmaking software similar and linked to that of the 360's software. Microsoft invisioned that perhaps they could merge the compatability of 360 games to become compatible with the PC, and thus open up a larger market for 360 games.

Although Vista is still terrible in its early stages, give it a couple of months, or at least untill Microsoft phases out XP, when the service packs improve the performace and the possibilities of the platform.

Just as that, Vista is still too unstable for the general populace and thus should be given time to improve before considering it as a viable platform.

Its called Live. You have one Live account and basically its your id card with your contact info and friends list. You can log onto Windows Vista PC or cellphone or labtop or xbox 360 and you will be able to talk to your friends and see what they are doing.

    Very cool feature ^-^

Some games will also be able to be played with Xbox 360 and Vista users.

In 4 years when they have some of the problems ironed out... then think about getting it

At the moment, stick with Windows XP

Vista is getting worse FPS on all the games compared to XP anyways

Talk about pwnt... OS focused for gamers? My ass

    >_>

I think I'll keep XP for a while. With the release of Vista maybe I won't get so many viruses. That way I can beef down my Security and ya know, actually do something besides post on OnRPG. Imagine the possibilities...

Who the **** would want an OS that needs over 1 gig of RAM to run it?

    Welcome to ****-town.
