Yeah its fun, played the *** version and a lot of its features are used on other games (what game doesn't take elements from other games now? I don't mind at all)
The class system is like FFXI, where you can change to whatever class you want at the level its at, but you have to do the class' job change quest before you can switch to it.
The gathering skills are like mabinogi and other games, you can farm or cut wood or feed animals etc for materials you need to make items.
Yes, I said make items, many things in DOMO are expensive, so most people like to make their own. All you need is the recipe, which you can find in random blue urns everywhere, the materials needed, and luck to get a good grade on your item :P
There is some grind (which game doesn't have grind?) But once I was able to switch classes I really didn't notice it, theres lots of skills you can use and if you party up with more people the grind kinda melts away (we've all heared that before right? :P)
Never really learned much about the "fate system"...Other than you can become "lovers" which basically grants you or your "lover" a special power on a few specific conditions:
You are in the same party
You are both really close to eachother
You are both at >25% health
Then at random one of you will get a power that either: Heals you, increases attack power a lot, or something else (thats all I've seen/heared)
Also, about the combo system, I don't really remember the combos but if you get it right you end up with a "SUPER COMBO!!!!" which really isn't that great, but its flashy xD
