    Default Books your reading?

We have music threads, movie threads, and even a thread about Marijuana, we need a book one.

As, as the name states, what book (if any) are you currently in the proccess of reading? It doesn't have to be fantasy, or even fiction, to count.

I'm reading Days of Infamy by Harry Turtledove, which is an alternate-reality kind of book that explores what might have happened if Japan had invaded Pearl Harbor instead of just raiding it.

Some book called Sword Singer. I read the first one, Sword Dancer, and liked the style of writing, so I decided to check out the second one. The story is a bit lacking, but its alright for a casual read.

The current series I'm reading are the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind and any book I can find that Clifford A. Pickover wrote.

What I'm currently reading is "Sex, Drugs, Einstein and Elves" by Clifford A. Pickover. He experiments and writes his theories on different things, like how words and languages affect our overall intelligence and such. He also goes a lot into the real name of God, and a lot of other religious stuff. One of my favorite parts is where he mentions that the Hebrew believe that God's real name is hidden in the Torah, between sections 19, 20 and 21 and that they believe his name contains 216 letters. Then, he goes on to explain that the sign on the beast, 666, which symbolizes the devil in Christianity comes out to be 216 if you multiply each 6 together. Conspiracy, or just plain coincidence?

ANYWAYS, I'm also waiting for the next Terry Goodkind book, Phantom, to come out in Paperback Edition. (hardcover's too expensive for me T_T)

Well I just finished two books...Running With Scissors and Fatal. Fatal is the interesting story of Jane Toppan, one of the first female serial killers and RWS...well that book is too weird and amusing to describe..(IMO)

Eww... I hope not. Goodkind has a writing style that not other author could ever hope to come close to! Plus Goodkind basically is Richard, and he loves Richard and Kahlan to death and I don't think he would EVER let anyone else write about them but himself...

What he did mention was that after he was done with the SoT series that he would write mini-novels, kind of like that one thats already out.... about 200 pages or so. Basically stories set within the world of SoT. In those books we would probably see some character we have come to know and love.

On a happy note, The director of Spiderman 3 and Goodkind are going to get together and work on a Sword of Truth TV Series. Goodkind had mentioned that a movie wouldn't be able to show what he would want to show, and multiple movies would cost far to much. What we will see is a TV series. Dunno which channel, Dunno the cast, Dunno anything! Except its going to be based of the SoT books. With Goodkind leading the way it should definetly be an awsome TV series!
