I just want people to understand that to anyone in the industry you are a moron, a talentless pawn whose resumé and portfolio will be thrown in the garbage with maybe a quick view.

Who are you and what have you done for the industry other then THINK you know all about it. Do research talk to people in the industry. MOST of the time you can find a developer willing to look at your stuff and give you pointers. This is the same as artists looking at eachothers work to critique it.

Rules of the industry.

1. You only as good as your last game
2. If you don't have a game make one!
3. If you don't know how to make one learn

That means don't find other people to make one for you and slap your name on it.

Your first game would take you maybe a week with 3 people working on it. thats 2D maybe 2 weeks for a 3D Flyer like Decent.
For your first games I'd suggest using these.

For 2D, learn the SDL api its a beautiful thing and free
For 3D if you don't know how to program an engine get OGRE its a free and open source and is also beautiful.

and don't use pirated software because then your helping the pirates ruin the industry, don't be cheap spend the 100$ on photoshop or the 50$ on Visual studio.
