I finally decided to try LORTO after receiving 2 previous beta keys. And I must say, it is really worth it. I am definitely going to buy this game if it is as good as i have already played. The single player is great and you go through the story. They will be adding content like WoW or EQ as far as I know (frequent updates). So this game will definitely be worth trying out. I might have to switch to this game instead of GE when it comes to the US. I might pre-order this very soon.
I'm enjoying this game a lot. however, I get lots of lag and it can be unbearable at times for me. My computer is very poor for this game.
When you get to around level 15, Lothia, you will start getting loads of quests opened to you so really get to pick and choose which to do. You can wander around exploring the land and come across people offering quests
Wow so its like Everquest in the fact of huge amount of quests (Which is whats so beautiful about EQI and EQII).
The attack speed is slow by no amount, I was able to hit about as fast as I do in any other game and the magic my character was doing was 2x faster then your average magic.
The lag is sorta bad in some places, just gotta update computer. I am getting a GF7600 and 2gig Ram next week though so I will be fine lol.
An awesome game,but I lagged like hell(laptop*cough*),so I didn't palyed alot,but it's really a great game,it was totally what I was expecting from Turbine.
LOTRO is just another WoW clone with prettier graphics set in Tolkien's world. However, thats not necessairly a bad thing considering WoW doesn't do much wrong in terms of the gameplay department. But pretty much those who dont like WoW wont like this game either.
Not my style, i don't like the general system of game, what things are in lotro, and the athmosphere. Generally, i don't like mmorpgs of the moment. My top 3 most wanted are Aion, Priston tale 2 and Gods and Heroes. Age of conan and warhammer online not for me as i see in pictures and videos but when it will be released i'll see the tests, feedbacks and maybe my own test, as it comes.
