    Default Racism in Wikipedia!

Okay, I had to give a speech about the "Soweto Riots" in my English class.
So I searched for information in Wikipedia and found this article:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soweto_riots

I read the article and was like "Wtf! This sounds like the bad black students destroyed everything and killed the white because they didn't want to learn Afrikaans!"

In my opinion it's a very strange article: It describes what the black did, but what the white did to the black seems to be unimportant to the one who wrote this. I think it's really racist against the black students who fought for their freedom. Btw there was someone who wrote something similiar to my opinion on the discussion site of the article.

What do you think? Is it racist? Do you know more racist articles? Why does nobody change this article? (I can't do it, my English isn't very good.)

    Btw I'm white.

Personally, I didn't find it racist at all. The writer(s) presented it with quite proper neutrality, displaying the facts at hand. Would you mind quoting some of the parts you thought were racist?

No, I can't quote racist parts.
I just had the feeling that the description of the actions the black did were negative while the actions of the white police offers who shot a few hundred students were described neutrally.

That sounds like they are letting you know of police brutality involved in this.
Might I add this was about the background and uprising of the riot. They probably didn't do anything to the police, so go find something better to do.

And how do you know that all of the police officers were white? Sounds like you are jumping to conclusions because i really don't think they were ALL white. I didn't read where the bad blacks destroyed everything it sounds like the blacks were rioting then tear gas was dispersed, then they were throwing rocks at the riot guards. Then the police started shooting.

I don't think any of them deserved to be shot. But it obviously showed they didnt have any position to show such defiance.

Sorry but I really hate people like you that only add salt to the wound over ****ing nothing. No one is gonna get over racism when it's constantly shoved in their face, it's just gonna make them feel like they are OWED something. Get over your self righteous ass.

    I didn't find it racist.

They were just lazy and didn't want to learn Afrikaans.

What you write, I believe you have to back up with an article or such or else it will be deleted.

You can write what you want in Wikipedia, but they have little tags on top first like, "Hasn't been ratified by an expert," or ,"Doesn't cite sources," (Rough quotes) to guide you as to weather or not it's safe believing. And if nothing else, it can show you too other sources.

You've gotta take into account that Canadian douchebag that got a world record for changing things around in Wiki...
