Compair them on the gameplay. Okay, I know ones a RPG and ones a MMORPG. But they still ahve graphics, still have a learning curve, still have gameplay, still have quests. Compair them on that, speak about there strong traits.

The games' production and release dates are miles apart, and technology moves fast, you simply just can't compare them. And you get a larger community in a MMORPG etc ... You just can't compare. It isn't fair.

A big difference between WoW and D2 is that u choose the stats when you lvl up in D2 and WoW is automatically set. Another big difference is that WoW has races whereas in D2 you only got the humans to play as. There are also more classes in WoW than in D2. Another big thing is performing quests to get some skills in WoW. Another thing you can do in WoW that you can't do in D2 is mount up. The big thing in D2, however, would be that it's a simplistic & fun hack n' slash. Also, the non-full 3d environment may attract some old school rpg gamers. I think the big thing keeping it from being better than WoW in my opinion is the "MMO" factor and needing to complete some quests in groups in WoW. Diablo II can't really be an MMO because there is no other "Alliance"-like race than human in that game, unless there are demons-gone-good o half-demons or w/e. It'd also be alittle tough for "Horde"-like races to exist unless they were all demon-like or maybe vampire-like. In the end, Starcraft would own face of both WoW and Diablo 2 if an RPG or MMORPG was made, =P

    1. Diablo is a offline game, Bnet was a bonus. WoW is a totally online game.

    2. Diablo is a b2p game, but WoW is a b2p and p2p game. Of course the experiences are not the same.

    3. Diablo do not have any hit games before its releases, but WoW has its own RTS games to start off with.

    4. Both the games's production dates are miles part, and technology moves fast. 2 games from 2 different eras to say, how can they be compared ?

Diablo all the way. WoW's charecter creaction on both skills and aperance and it's lack of originality make it a truly overrated game.(and just for the record I think Xfire is buged so it makes your record of hours playing WoW more than it acualy is cuz I'm sure I haven't played 163 hours of WoW. Just saying so you don't think I'm ******ed )

First look at the setting. A meidevil Mmo isn't original. Neither are any of the races(Exept for 2 of them) and the whole Orcs trying to take over the earth and humans defending it is overused waaaay to much. And the only thing that WoW dose that other mmo's don't do is the fact that if you pvp enough you can buy better equipment.

Plus I'll take slaying demons by the hundreds before slowly killing wolves one-by-one anyday.

Fantasy and Meidevil are the same in my book.A swords a sword no matter if it's fantasy or midevil and you can't be the best with a same old same old storyline.
