Now *****, if I understand correctly you are saying that reported posts are being ignored, right?
I myself have gotten many reported posts that were in fact not breaking rules. It was merely a personal confusion of what the post was saying/meaning, and in truth didn't break any rules.
Other times it's something like a brand new member that just bumped his topic. This is not allowed, but we do generally go easy on the newbies(depending on the offense). He's told to not do it, but not warned.
Those such posts are not warned.
If they do get reported and are actually breaking rules, I do make sure that the user is warned.

Now, from what I know I seem to only get the reported posts from sections that I'm listed as a mod to, but I'm going to see what I can do to get the reports from all sections on the site.

And monitoring of the logs is done when ever there is a problem, but what you seem to be talking about is monitoring when a report is sent out and when a mod comes in and sees the report, ect.
Reports are sent to our e-mail inbox, something that this site can not tell when we access.
All of our moderation activity that we preform upon this site are recorded though.

Your still not discussing the favoritism related to when justified reports are being made and ignored with specific community members.

Only time I have done reports is when its an obvious violation of the rules. And only 10% of them I have seen enforced.

Also, your only telling me half of what can be done. Its good Gabrial is the only one that can delete staff activity, but what about the cross monitoring of these admins/mods related to the times when these reports are posted?

Half is still nothing. Cause all you get is still imbalance. Its like a seesaw with weight one one side. There is nothing happening.

All of the admins (Me, Gabriel, Fabian, Roon, and Terrinblaze) can view what a mod does, and when s/he has done it. AFAIK staff activity is always logged and can't be deleted except with mysql commands. We also have a forum where all warnings are logged with the warner, and the original post. We also only soft-delete threads so we try in every way possible to back ourselves with evidence.

As for reports, only moderators assigned to a forum recieve reports from those forums. If you have a serious issue that isn't being delt with it would be best to PM a more active moderator or an admin. If you think a forum is not being moderated as well as it could be than PM and admin with your complaint. We will look into it and decide what needs to be done. We can always use user input to better the forum.

If you do think favoritsm is going on, please PM an admin and cite examples. I can't stress enough that if members are going to complain they should back it up with physical evidence, because otherwise its hearsay and we can try to do something but I doubt anything will come of it. So far I myself have never been PM'ed by a member about favortism, or bad moderation or lack of moderation. So I assume everything is moving along smooth.

Perhaps we should come up with some kind of ticket system that a user can fill out and it gets put into a database that the admins can look over... Would that work better than havin to take time to PM and admin?

I don't really see any reason for it to be locked yet, because no actual flaming has occured imo.

The mods don't think that they should have to depend on the opinion of other members at all, and ignore any criticism.

But those members who are going out of their way to piss off the mods for no reason aren't helping either, though I think they do (for the most part) have fair grievances.

Who is talking about racism? I am talking about how the meaning of a word can evolve with culture and society. Of course, you may not be talking about me.

Yes I am talking about when justified reports are ignored. I do recall at one time someone went out of their way to make a personal attack on me in a post that was civil. I reported it, and nothing was done.

I do understand that specific admins/mods are assigned to certain sections. I dont think that should occur. It gives them control where others do not.

I agree with shadow all the way. I mean, part of the staff is so caught up in OTHER'S post counts, they count almost everything as spam. I mean, I remember when 'old OnRPG' did, "The Longest Topic", game. It was fun. If you tried to do it now, that thread would be locked before you could breath again.

Just because the reports we get are limited to one section doesn't mean our mod powers are. We all have equal power over all the sections. So no, some mods don't have more control than others.

If you are assigned to get reports from a specified section, while others have another section, this does mean you have more control of one section than other mods.

Since Fabian stated that not all mods get the same reports, this does mean what I say is true.

Argue, get mad, whatever. Fabian has said what happens when reports are made.

I am aware of what you are saying. I have been a moderator of a few games. I am familiar with the process. I was not aware how extensive your forums/monitoring was. I was going on assumption, that is my error.

A ticket system would be nice. Maybe when each report is sent, a copy can be sent to a new "inbox" labeled "My Reports" linked to our PM system. This way, we can have a copy and have proof of what we sent if nothing has been done. Kind of a "checks and balance" is a must.

Geez, I left this forum while it was in the middle of chaos two months ago to achive WoW nirvana (Man I love that game), and there's still argueing on the EXACT same subject? Come on kids, play nice. I've steamed off and I;m going to devoutly follow the mods. While arguing is fun, and some of you won't give up so easily, I just want this top stop. In any way possible.

On the note of racial slurs, I feel as if there's been an ijustice put upon the white people. Asians have the their word, Blacks have their word, but we don't have a racial slur for everyone else to call us? Poppycock! (great word) I'm going to start enforcing that white people greet each other as "Crackers". C'mon, fair's fair.
