    Default Buying a new amplifier

I'm going to head over to this pawn shop tomorrow with a pretty good selection of guitars and amps. I have a $125 budget to get the best possible amp with. Any suggestions? I was thinking about getting a Fender or a Marshall, but I have heard that Fender's are crap.

just ask to try them out. Unless you're playing in a band and you are in need of a really BIG amp for the need of a lot of sound, you can pretty much go by anything that is meduim-sized and has some good effects. In the end, it's preferance. Of course there is some quality in the pic, but if you're just buying an average amp to you guitar, then those in the same prize-range are often of quite similar quality, so in the end, Im guessing its the effects your paying for. But Im no expert, and just talking from experience.
