    Where did it got it's name? And how is it connected to the anime..
    (btw the bleach I am talking bout is the anime)

    On other forums...they said they called it bleach, is that they want it called Bleach...why not? For short, because they want it to.

    I think, bleach washes away black stuff? So.. maybe these 'black stuffs' are the hollows that need to be cleanse? Something like that.

    doesn't bleach meen stawberry in like japanease or some language and it's refering his strawberry blonde hair, that's what i hear ne wayz.

    It's simple, since the show is about death, it's a reference to the dead. More specifically, the bleach white color of ghosts.

    Ichigo means strawberries... so if bleach
    means strawberries.. then it is also the name of Ichigo

    Ichigo = strawberry
    They call it bleach because, he bleached his hair orange if i can remember correctly in the begining of bleach he gets teased by some punks about his hair. Or was that another anime

    ^ You're right. It's spelt with katakana, because it's not an original japanese word. It's borrowed. And translates to the word bleach, and hence is written buriichi.
