Nah. Some played 1.6 and some played 1.3 (L.A.N).
Maybe something like 50% CS:S , 40% CS 1.6, 10% other versions.

Hmm, they are two different games. Graphics, maybe CS:S is a little bit better, because i couldn't see any major difference apart from skin.
They are both good =)

Counterstrike Source is decent, graphics are better, gameplay wise is near the same. In 1.6 the gameplay is more focused to the action part... a hella more spraying in my opinion and the graphics for this is alright but nothing compared to Source.

Both games have decent sized population.

Source is for noobs. 1.6 is for veterans that have been playing the game for many years such as myself. I own Source and I absolutely hate it.

So for me... 1.6 > Source.

Yeah people prefer 1.6 because apparently it requires more skill. As for Counterstrike Source, with headshots and all that, it is easy to kill people.

And in 1.6 with certain weapons you can shoot through crates and walls which in some cases its realistic with the crates but I don't think through walls considering it only shows a small bullet hole and not a hole through the whole wall.
