It's happened twice before.
Ok, so ps3 came out after xbox and gamecube, so what? Do you really think the reason ps1 and ps2 won the previous console war, was because they were released first? If that was the case, then ps2 should have been beat by dreamcast following that logic.
Secondly can you guys STOP ARGUING ABOUT PRICE GOD DAMN IT!!!
Do you have some good damn issues with your memory??? I have said it hundreds of times, and I'll say it again till it sticks;
How much did ps2 cost when it was first released? I'll tell you, around 5 times the cost it goes at today, and at that time people like you were bitching about the price tag. What happened? It was halved in less than one year, and then everyone bought it. What is to stop this from repeating itself? Nothing. Now why does ps3 cost so much? Because it comes with a hardware that kicks the ass of everything else out there. A blue ray player alone costs a great deal, so do you honestly expect a ps3 to be any cheaper? How much do you pay for a computer that is powerfull enough to run games at ps3 level and fit it with a blue ray player? I won't even bother answering that. I sure as hell don't. Anyways, the price really isn't an issue. If any of you had a job, you could easily pay for it, and let's face, almost all the big titles launched for this game is aimed at people in an age group where you should have started working. So wth is the problem?
I don't hear people complaining about buy computers for the price of 20.000kr(2000 punds or so), so why should people complain about the price of the most powerfull gaming console to this date?
Fine, you don't want to pay for a ps3, but that's not a real arguement if you view it in context. The consumers power, and ability to pay more has increased, at least here in scandenavia, and so the prices in general has increased as well. I never for a second imagined that ps3 would be cheaper than ps2 from the point of release so I was already expecting a pricetag at well above 450 pounds(U.K). Now why weren't you?
