It depends on the drug. If he had been more specific, I could have also been more specific. Some overdoses can kill brain cells that cannot be regenerated, others can cause seizures, etc, etc.Originally Posted by ddldave

It really depends upon the drug...morphine/heroin/etc...you just drift off to sleep. Actually, that is how they put dogs down...its the most humane OD I'd say.
Theres some drugs out there, that will kill you painfully, from multiple heart attacks...I only know about the opium derivatives because I'm allergic.

I've seen pictures on the internet of what people have done when they were overdosing. Here's what they involved:
1. A guy took a piece of glass and cut his lips, nose, ears, and all the skin off his face and fed it to his dogs. The dogs had to be forced to regurgitate his body parts so they could be stitched back on.
2. Another man took a knife and cut his stomach and reached in and started pulling his intestines out, while he was still conscious.

Assuming you're talking about whether you feel pain while you're OD'ing, I imagine you'd either be too comatose to feel pain, or you'd be unconscious.
The aftermath is the painful part. Of course that's IF you don't die, and not everyone that overdoses dies.

My brother od'ed ..on paracetamol..damn lucky basterd he felt fine the ambulence crew rushed in ..he was just sat there happily watching tv feeling fine..but now hes liver is ****ed and gets all sort of tummy problems now
hate my brother i wanted him to die from it
