E3 Schedule Released *Eddie R Inzauto - Senior Editor, GameWad.com
E3, or at least the shadow of the former expo, "min-E3," will be held this year from July 11th to the 13th at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. The ESA recently released a schedule of events for the show on the official E3 website.
Microsoft will get things started this year with their pre-E3 conference at 8: 30pm on July 10th. Nintendo will be up next, hosting their conference at 9:00 the next morning. Sony will take up the rear with a conference at 11: 30am on the 11th.
Third parties will be granted conference time, as well. The full show schedule follows:

On the hangar floor, booths will be set up for over 30 companies. Some notables who won't have formal conferences include Capcom, Square-Enix, and SEGA, among others.
I still cannot agree with any of the people who swear that this is for the better of the industry. If they were going to strip all the madness away from the E3, why doesn't the industry just do as they did before E3 existed, and have all this shit done at CES?
As much I do listen to those press conferences, they also happen to be boring as all hell, and it was up to the madness that is a crapload of people (half of which do not belong there in the first damned place) to counter that. There always seemed to be an anything can happen feel to what I have seen of the event.
By the way, can you imagine the hilarity that the conferences would be if they were running this by old E3 rules? Sony would probably get laughed out of the building when they unleash their bullshit facts on the crowd,
Microsoft would probably get hit by a "THREE RED LIGHTS!" chant, and MC Reggie Reg from Nintendo would be ducking Wii motes from angry folk who want something worth playing on that wretched system.
Now the show is on a hardcore invite only system, so everything is going to be how it should. The major developers are going to showcase their shit, people are going to clap politely, and then the hangar will be opened up to pre-packaged tours of all the latest games.
"No need to snap any pictures, we already have some heavily photoshopped pics for you to put on your websites, and in your publications!"
Control. Control. Control. Spin. Spin. Spin.
Eh, well, I'm more hyped for the San Diego Comic Con then I am for this mierda.
