I think Blizzard usually accomodates lower end pcs as well because it makes them more money. So I dont think you'll need a monster computer.

With those kind of specs, above average, but definitely not on "high"?

how do you people even know that? they have not released ANY form of requirements. Besides, Starcraft uses a clearly outdated engine compared to other games, just to live up their 'for the more casual pc-tactic'.

but don't make assumption showing you 'know' the specs, because if blizzard hasn't released them, you sure don't know them either

I can actually see a requirement insisting on 1 gig, but who knows. Since the top model PCs have dual channel DDR2 (Max 4G, it could be a possibility. I doubt it, though. A game that would require that would have to be a sweet FPS, with top notch graphics and special effects.

In the DoW series, the detail they put into it was great(including the flying chunks of debris/bodies hitting the camera). It didnt require high specs. As long as the developers know what they are doing, they can make the game into a graphically detailed piece of work. Without needing a higher end PC to play it.

That doesn't really mean anything? They don't even look close to the same. If anything, this game looks similar to C&C 3, just a lot cooler and more futuristic.

And if that's the case, then no, you won't run it at high. But anyways, just like almost everyone else said, it's over a year away, so you've got plenty of time to make changes.

    The graphics are nothing special,seriously.

Supreme Commander kickasses Starcraft 2,graphic related.

    Yup.I think i playied Supreme Commander's early demo mostly maxed out with my specs-P.4 3.2GHZ with 2 processors running,X1600 PRO 512MB,1GB DDR2.

So,i guess he'll do wonders with Starcraft 2.Maybe have a few performance cut down due to his card .
