It's not Nintendo that fails to utilize the power. It's the developers. And I don't know if you've seen it yet, but RE4 for the GC owned the PS2 version.

No clue what's better, but the good thing about PS2 is, it's easier to find.. and I have it..
Wii is good for exercising, well so's PS2... cause this is just from me, and I don't play game-games.. I just play some of those Wii Sports and DDR.. so yeah, performance wise, I think they would be pretty much the same..
If ever, there's a better/more fun version of DDR that comes out on Wii and not PS2, I'll be out for a Wii..
But for now, the PS2 is my console, plus I'm cheap and don't like spending $200+ on something that's gonna be covered in dust very soon... >

During last gen console wars, I didn't have much props for GC, no fanboyism intended (had an Xbox, played the GC). I just didn't see TRUE greatness of that system. I played acouple of games on it..Wind Waker (i liked it)..Mario Party ..RE4 (AMAZING)...Wrestlemania..and acouple others. It just wasen't that special to me. On top of that, alot of my friends didn't have it. I only know of 3, and the rest of them had PS2s (most of them still do). Now it seems like Nintendo really stepped their game up with the Wii, I give them props.

Beautiful times, and an awesome rivalry.
If you had both the Genesis and the SNES, you were pretty much in gaming heaven, as both companies/systems were actively competing for your (your mother/father's) money each and every month, it seemed. Back when Nintendo was a loudmouth egomaniac of a company, and Sega pumped out scores of good games, I was constantly at Blockbuster Video, knocking other rodent children down for the newest games on both systems.
To this day, I am not sure why Nintendo didn't lock Sega up for the unholy alliance.

Why would you do that? PS2 has a lot of good games out for it. It is not like you are going to get any money for it.
That is, unless you have a newer console, and you don't care anymore. If that is the case, sell away, but if not, there are far too many games out there to dump the thing.

I'm just blessed to have had all the consoles except for the 360. We sold our GC and XBox to pay for a third of our PS3, and got a Wii for Christmas. Personally, the Wii is more fun at the moment, due to the flare it has going for it. LoZ:TP was awesome. No ifs ands or buts. The PS3 has an awesome line-up coming later this year, so let's just wait and see!
