I wouldn't ask this question on these forums. Really biased, since 90% of this community hates WoW for whatever reason. Funny thing is that the same people never got past level 19, and bash the game without even seeing all the content it has to offer.
I for one, love the game, but I'm nearing my retirement from the game. Been playing since release, and I've lost interest in the game. I'm surprised the game lasted for 2+ years for me though.

It's really not that fun. I bought two months, and didn't enjoy it. I played it for like a few days (4 at most), and found I didn't like it. I was very confused. If you don't have any friends, it may be very confusing like it was to me.

I didnt enjoy the trial, but if I bought the game im all most postive I would love it. Its includes at least 90% of the features avalible in most MMO's if not more. Not to mention sweet mounts, very populated, ETC

Ok then, i like the flying mounts of WoW: Burning Crusade. Thats the only thing i like about it, if theres another game with flying mounts i would be playing it right about now.

Well besides that thats a realy plain generalisation, this happens not only to WoW; See it as what it is: spam and your better of scrolling over those posts, it stops you arguing where there aint no argument...
On topic:
WoW is in fact good.
Its design is not apealing to everyone, but it has enough content to get you and discover new stuff for roughly 4 month. On the other hand, if you are realy out to discover things, there will come the time where you saw everything.
As Wow doesnt offer any inovative gameplay (yea, no idea what that would be? thats y its called inovative), its dull from that point on;
It comes from a realy good established publisher, which has no doubt the most competent service available and I am quite sure that there are tons of updates and expansiones to come in the future.
You can say it is about as good as the best single-player RPG which has only a multiplayer part to it.
If you look for competitive gameplay, its diversity and feauter-ritchness will get in the way (whitout serving any real purpose), thats why the pvp and the grind comunity do not realy like it.

Iso 90% wow haters, without knowing why they hate it. Its useless saying anymore for me since people dont seem to understand what my point is.
All they think if ****it whatever he writes im gonna be negative about it anyway. Your just jealous @ people who can play wow since u dont have the money OR your computer isnt good enough.

Hm, I really found WoW very easy to get in to. I played the friend-trial things one of my friends gave me. I loved the game after playing it for one day, so I went out and bought the full game. It's really simple if you follow the quest-chains given to you. A lot of the quest-chains introduce you to new NPCs and new features of the game, and you slowly begin to learn all of it. If you don't want to follow the quests (which I suggest you do, because you get more xp that way, and learn the game faster, AND get some cool gear sometimes.) it's very easy to just ask someone for help, I found that the majority of the community was very nice and very helpful, though sometimes a bit odd on the RP servers...

WoW is hard to understand? LOL, it's the game that 10 year olds play and they do great in it.
The reason it is so successful is because it suits all types of players from the Noobies, PvP-freaks, Party Whores, Phat Lewterz and those that just want a casual game to play with their buds after work.
This forum isn't that good of a place to ask this sort of question because most of the people tend to go with the general mentality of the other posters.
They have free trials all over the net, just try it for yourself.

Over 245 million people play MMORPGs. Now if 7 million is the game's population then that would only be 2.86% of the MMORPG population.

There has been a few that ask what MMORPGs we hate. We turned it inot the top 5 we hate and majority of us gave reasons. So please, shut it and read before you assume anything.
As for the $$ problem or low end PC response. How much of a dimwit are you?

As for you reasons for PC specs. A namebrand PC with 1GB of memory and a graphics card with 64MB of ram and shader 1.4 can run the game easily. That is including the time when there is a high concentration of players in a single area. No lag and at med settings. Blizzard even claims the game is made so budgeted PC users can play the game with comfort and ease.

It is the most polished, entertaining, and fun MMORPG on the market.
This is really the reason it's the most successful.

I think its one of those, you either get addicted to it liek crack or you just dont like it. When I started playing with 3 of my friends I loved it and in 3 months of casual playing i got to level 70. Its not even a grindy game at all, since the quests are pretty interesting and getting skills every 2 levels and new mounts is motivating,

Wow. If World of Warcraft confused you... you fail at life. Seriously.
And, yeah - it's a known fact that 99.9% of the members on here are biased anime lovers (anime SUCKS MAH ****), and bash WoW without even playing it. It's a tragedy really. My advice is to just try the trial. If you don't like it, simply don't buy it. But, since WoW is such an awesome game, i'm sure you'll get into it for a little while.

Like I said before, you need to shut it and learn to read before you post.
There are several unique reasons why they hate it and there are several repeats. BUt with their reasons, they do explain in their own words, which gives detail that shows they have played it.
Your right, your last few posts have been useless. They were false assumptions that you just pulled out of your rear or just copy/pasted like a media monkey.
And never use the phrase "Cause 7 million people play it". Its been proven that the articles are kinda vague on how these numbers came to be. If 7 million is many then I guess 70 million is a lot. Which one game has claimed to have. But like I siad, no specifics on what those numbers exactly mean.

Personaly I hate WoW. I played it for 175 hours to try and see why ppl love it so much. It seems to me like I'm paying 15$ a month to do what I can already do for free. I think the only reason so many ppl play WoW is because they don't know any other good mmo's. But at least WoW looks good.

You assume alot, much like a few others that cant backup their claims/facts. I do agree on one point. If the person finds the game too confusing to play. They really need to go back to school and learn how do read. The game is newb friendly.
