Current Best and Worst Free MMORPGs [basically a rant rant thread]

hey, boredness has pushed me to make this thread. I always love venting at a game, it is insanely fun, also, talking about a good game is fun too, so i propose we post our current favorite and least favorite MMORPGs, I'll start us out.


Worst- For me it almost a tie between Endless Online and Adventure quest, adventure quest is sorta fun for about 25 minutes.(i am aware adventure quest is not a mmo but you'll se why in a minute)

Endless Online- I have posted this game as my least favorite in many threads but if you have not played it before, i suggest you play it so you can know what a ****ING PIECE OF SHIT THIS GAME IS. To start, this game is a hard-ass mofo to log into, it is worse (for me) to get into this than to get into silkroad, how the hell can that happen? it probably takes a server with 16mb of RAM to run this crappy-ass game, the graphics are crap, no two ways about it. Just plain bad, and it is full of hackers, scammers, ass-wipes, spammers and generally ******ed ass mofos.

This game has NO PK that i am aware of, unless you cont some POS crap that tag would be ashamed of. and is grindy even my FlyFF and MS standards, let me put it simply, EO= A MOTHER ****ING PIECE OF SHIT



Adventure Quest (AQ)- How DARE the creators of this game call it a MMO, after about 13 seconds of the game i realized it had no online capabilities whatsoever, why the **** do they need servers except to keep the site running? it makes no sense! there is a decent art style present, but every other time you click something you get some ******ed message saying
"only guardians can do that" so you become a guardian, "only only super coin purchasers can do that!" so you purchase so damn super coins, "only AQ cocksuckers can do THAT!" this game isn't even online, what the HELL? god it pisses me off.

Best- I have not come across a MMORPG that really struck me as "this is the best thing that ever happened to my gaming life. maybe you could recommend something? lol, anyway, get your rant on, it is fxxxing awesome

lol. Nice little reviews xD. I actually liked adventure quest back like 2 years ago and got to level 55 i think. I stopped when tehre were so many peolpe you couldnt get on anymore. It wasnt that bad

Well, that was my rant, Nathan...

For the first closed beta to have such a good response, to just give it the smack-down by releasing some bullshit patch that screwed almost everything that was fun about the game is, well...bullshit!

Oh dear Jesus, I think I love you for making this thread (I love reading rants ).

Uhh, worst game I can think of at the moment is Rappelz (I'm going by recent, I know I've played hella worse but within the last few months this takes it).

Ok, well, you log in and see five servers: Bahamut, Turtle, Chickenwing, etc etc etc. Basically the servers are like, FFXI ripoffs (At least Bahamut is >.>). You log in and see three races to pick from: The "Preps", the "Jocks", and the "Punks", as one of my friends put it. Literally, you could take the appearance of the three main races, throw them into a high school, and watch the fun begin >.>;;. ANYWAY, so you make your stereotype and log in, and the first thing you notice: It takes forever to load. Second thing: Holy jebus, this is laggy! Third thing: (You may have issues with a third thing due to the lag). After you defeat the lag, you start a quest where you have to kill these random wolf things. And quite frankly, the fighting was pitiful. You click the monster and attack. Haven't we got enough of those?

From then on I went to town and saw how hard it was to move due to lag, I saw the overabundance of noob quests, and how pitiful the customization of the game is. Do you really need a full blown quest to tell you how to equip armor? I don't think so.

After the 2 or so hours you spend on the tut island, you're sent out into the world, where the lag worsens, and you can barely move.

Then I uninstalled .

The game strikes me as a horribly pitiful attempt to remake L2, for free. And they ****ed up bad. BAD.

Don't flame me about this please, I was just posting in the thread because it's what I was supposed to do o.o;;.

Haha, I liked FlyFF for such a long time... but then I realized it's grindy as hell, and there's no reward for being a high level than looking cool.

And yes, it does lag. It lagged less when I had AOL then it does now with DSL >.>!

...so here I am walking to town, this girl (guy in real life) walks up to me and starts doing obscene things to me and then after 5min of following me and saying stuff... s"he" asks for my rune armor, I put in rune armor into trade window and go afk for 15min (I do a few actions so I dont get booted from the game)...trade window still up and she is still there. I close trade window and s"he" says"WTF dood i thut u git mi rune! FU n00b i reprt scam a@@." just like that. Exact sentence.

Okay, so I run farther after having fun with this guy playing a female character and then the guy comes back with three of his friends. They proceed to follow me into the weapon shop. A huge flame war erupts with everyone cause of them, which they had been causing problems before. It was the most funny thing I've ever seen. So I go to the armor shop since I needed armor too, and three more of this trans guys friends follow me inside the armor shop. I believe he was a trans at least, I mean it was a dude playing a girl. So here I am in the armor shop...(I was there because I was giving a friend armor and a weapon to help him start).

I open a trade window with someone named "Kokopuffs" (the most idiotic name I've ever seen in a game, actually most idiotic name ever) and put in tons of gold and my rune armor in trade window for 15min. I close trade window and then the gm comes and bans them all. Before the she-man got banned I got a tell from the guy since I added him to friends list cause it was so funny hearing what he had to say and he said"WTF u gut me ban n00b, i hont u dwn and kela u fmily"

That was the most funny thing I've ever been involved with a game and it happened just on tuesday or wednesday lol. I'll never log onto runescape again so, that is for sure. I got my friend to play maplestory with me today Much better community.

lol its not even out yet but if u compare it to mmo's its really crappy but if you compare it to games like habbo hotel and vmk.com when it is released it would be good game ( in that genre ) i wanna see how its like but they make it look so girly with the hello kitty on the front page so if i dont see any guys there im not playing >.>

i dont know why ppl keep saying they lag so much and it has so much grind. If at lvl 37 im getting 0.88% per monsters thats not really grind >.>

All of ya'll computers are crap cuz i never lag in that game. But obviously im gonna freeze for a couple seconds when i dive my flying board into some shops at saint morning

Huh...really i'm with the bandwagon that runescape is the biggest piece of crap out there. I think everyone here knows what i'm talking about so, no need to elaborate.

As for the best, I'd really like to say CABAL, but then again, you never know what kind of mind blowingly awesome game will come out in the next month...let alone the next 2 years. But out of the games i've played, CABAL is number one, no doubt. To put it in a few short words, short leveling time, great graphics and skill animations, many quests (pretty much endless quests), an actual story line, not just training for the hell of it, timed dungeon runs for good exp and part of quest and story line, flawless upgrade system, realistic economy. Yeah that about sums up the major pluses of CABAL. Find me a game with parallel features and i'll consider it...so far no other game has matched it. The closest to CABAL i've seen is Lunia, and i'm yet to try 2Moons for comparison.

Worst Games:

Definately have to be one of those MMORPG's where its nothing more than an MMO game. I mean where the hell is the RPG? Also nothing more than going out of the town, kill a few beasts return to town sell junk and just keep continueing on and on till u quit the game. these games need to have more role playing to level sorta thing, to make it just abit more enjoyable to the players. These games where all you do is grind, its like going to school or something where u try to meet a target, while u spend time that could be used on something else.

Good Game:

Face Of Mankind, hands down. Too bad theres a lack of players, if not it would definately be the best MMO"RPG" ever. I mean why play a game where theres no roleplay?
