no way, before i installed nod32 nothing like this has ever happened, playing hb was smooth and so was every other game... before i had nod32 i had norton av and it was alright until my trial expired, now i got cracked full version of nod32 which i got from a professional computer wiz

i asked him but hes never got any problems with it, but i wanna ask him more but hes offline

so i cant really wait for him so im asking mmorpg players to help a guy who lags like shit to play once again

i hate nod32 soooooo much right now due to this matter, but once its resolved it be sweet

Are you sure your pc doesn't have viruses on it? That might be slowing it down.

Try a system restore something similar to this happened to me.

i have no viruses on my computer, everythings good cept the issue im having right now

and i tried turning off the av and trying the game but i didnt wanna risk anything coming in so i turned it back on but while i tried the game without the av the lag still resided, opened task manager and most of the cpu goes to the game im playing...

i dont understand, this shit is wack and driving me crazy trying to figure out why its not corresponding correctly

    please anymore suggestions? advice?
anything that may lead me in the right track would be nice too, thank you

my pal doesnt know anything about this problem either and he just told me to uninstall nod32 and install AVG, but i dont wanna give up on nod32 yet since its the best av

he told me to do a broadband check, i did:

    latency: 1100ms
    download: 4000kbs
    upload: 50kbs

    isp: shawcable

So wait, you turned NOD32 off, and the Lag was still there?
That means it's not the Anti-virus.
There is something else that is causing this lag. It could be bad drivers, slow computer, a ton of other programs running in the background, and many other things.
    But it's not NOD32.

And if you have an updated version of windows, there is a very tiny risk of you getting infected.

    here are my specs:

MS Windows XP Pro SP2 (cracked)
AMD Athlon 64 dual core processor 3800+
    1gb ram
    nvidia geforce 7900gs

everything worked fine til installing nod32

which program uses the 2nd most cpu and how much, the game usually uses the most cpu.
    second most is my nod32krn.exe

So wait, you turned NOD32 off, and the Lag was still there?
i only turned it off for a couple mins then turned it back on
