Yes because, as we all know the Xbox 360 magically gives ANY game multiplayer. The 360 has badass multiplayer because the developers build it that way, Hideo Kojima will build a fantastic online component for MGS4.
Your "Sony hardly does shit with online" remark is funny. Sony has some very fantastic online games coming up. One being Warhawk which is a very popular game with the gaming media, you also have Socom:Confrontation which is another favorite of the media.
There is also Unreal Tournament 3 by Epic, the maker of Gears of War. The coolest part about the Playstation 3 version is that you can download mods off the web made by PC users and play them with PC games. This is something you can't do on the Xbox 360 because Microsoft wont let you.
They also said that PSN will have over 80 download titles and a bunch of game packs ranging from new maps and costumes to full game chapters.
Also let me just and that Playstation 3 games that have an online component other then whats used in "Home" run on dedicated servers, Xbox 360 games use a Peer to Peer connections for their games.
P.S. MGS4 is over 50GB currently as stated by Kojima himself in interviews. A standard DVD9 can only hold about 8.5GBs on a dual layers so you'd need alot more then 2 disks.
