Shadowbane <--- MUST PLAY

I'm sure a lot of you fellow MMOers have heard of "Shadowbane," and whether you have tried it or not, I'm here to tell you that this is an awesome 100% Free game, included with both of the expansions. The gameplay is what is really breathtaking.

If you don't like a long grind to be at the top level.
If you love PVP.
If you're into polictics and war.
If you're ready to be challenged in a world that doesn't have PVP barriers.
If you're ready to build your own town, and conquer others.

Shadowbane is a game that you seriously need to take a gander at, and even try it. If you like it which I didn't think I was going to, you'll be hooked!

So this is my last straw trying to save such a good game.

to be honest, i give all mmorpgs a try, but for some reason i cannot bring myself to try this. normally i dont care about the graphics, but these graphics are just really bad imo.

i mite give it a try one day..

SB allows layout customisation. Most of the time you'll be gold farming for your guild and high-ended gears, but the best thing about SB is PvP, the character customisation and runes allows you to create an seemingly endless amount of different character templates.

i remember this game it was sooo awesome but the only reason i stopped was because i had gotten the summoner rune but to find summoner master was like impossible....

I made an Aricoix Thief, it was so fun. Run to a town, fly over the walls, stealth up, wait at the bank. :P I had this one GREAT moment though. I got a huntsman talent rune, so I could track people. I tracked this one guy into the bank. I got 40k off of him. He walks to the weapon store with me behind him, talks to the vendor, then walks back to the bank because he didn't have enough money for his axe . He goes back to the vendor, while I'm still following him, and he buys the axe. Before he could put the axe on, I took it. Haha.

In a different town there was a level 20 centaur afk. The town had NO guards, it was great. I went stealth, took all the precautions, then pickpocketed him. I saw he was LOADED with money, scrolls, potions, and rings. Well, there was to much to pickpocket with a 30 second cool down, so I started stabbing :P. Well, he died, I took his stuff, and used the town return scroll he dropped.

If you are the kind of person that loves to grief people, want a community, and pretty much awesome game play, this is the game for you.

It took me literally 4 days to get to level 56, btw :P.

I Googled shadowbane and went to the site, they say that there's only a 15-day trial.
Am I missing something?

This is one of the best games out there atm.

Just that hardly anyone plays, so the main thing of the game(PVP) is hardly used, you attack a castle with like 100 people throwing fireballs at it breaking the walls, killing NPC's to for like 2 hours to only realize that the guild who owned it doesn't play anymore.

And that was when I quit.

I tried. I moved around the interface and got it to look how I wanted. But still. All of the controls, just stuff like that was kind of weird. Didn't like it too much. Of course I didn't get off the little island thing, but I should probably give it another try before totally hating it. By the way, what are the best stats for a thief? Like... just DEX if you use daggers? Or do you need anything else if you just want to be pure speed and stuff with stealing? Ohh, wouldn't you need agility or something to carry lots of junk? Dunno, but can someone tell me? Might re-try if you do...

You don't distribute stats I don't think. I don't remember. But thieves use Dex/Str I think. I was a thief :P.
