when i first saw this thread.. i though "ahhh crap another kiddie game with cartoons in it"... then i saw the game footage... holy hell man... looked like a cell-shaded Wow with a bunch of cartoons that... well... look more adultish...

You sir, need to think before you post. Step back and realize you went into "WoW hater mode" without placing any forethought into what he was talking about. He was talking about artstyles of the game and you are talking about genre. You are attempting to create another WoW argument where it wasnt needed (failure1).
ONE MORE THING!!!!!! WoW has several tidbits that introduce the "sci-fi" feel to it. Spaceship crashed on Azeroth, some of the gear you can craft, mechanized golems, steam tanks, oh and dont forget the Star Trek puns (failure2).

More advice. It is wise to read and reread posts cause there can be edits and re-edits to ones post. WoW is not all a fantasy based genre. The examples are all over the face of WoW lore. So please, learn to research what you are attempt to argue against.
You have a raygun, batteries, mechanized pets (I like the chicken.....), Transformer puns, teleporters, and please dont forget the Gnomes.

See, keeping it simple would be the way to go if you dont want an arguement/debate. If you try to support you opinion, is where you should expect an arguement. Make sure that your supportive information is factual and related to the what you are opposing.

I just talked about this with my son andshowed him the site. It looks like something he will enjoy cause he likes the games that crossover into other worlds. Much like Kingdom Hearts. It seems that CN is thinking quite well about the concept. Better than what Disney did with PotC.
I give CN props for their marketing strategy......
