My cousin uses linux. He said that you can't get viruses on it so I guess it's true. He seems to like it alot but I don't know much about it myself. I tried to use it but I couldn't figure out how to do anything.

    been asked so many times...
But I'll give a basic run down.

    1. None of that stuff
    2. You need to get a vertualization software and run it through that, and then most games are supported. Wine is the one I remember, but there are other, newer choices.
    3. No viruses, faster, more stable, more secure, more powerful, free, highly modifiable.
4 Ubuntu is the current favorite of most people

Now, before you install over your copy of windows, key thing, LEARN about what you are doing.
This is a problem that so many people have. They don't take the time to learn about computers, about how they work, what to do and what not to do. It's one of the few devices that there are so many people that are ignorant about how to actully use it that are using it.
And for that reason there are so many people that have constant problems with it.

Windows is easy and made so that you can be a complete idiot about computers and work it to some extent.
Linux expects you to actually know what the **** you are doing, like you properly should.
So if you don't know what you are doing, do some reading and learn.
