no you dont its not confirmed from what ive found all u need is prophices
all it does say u need ONE of the 3 expansions so proph nightfall or factions so havin all 3 would be better since more classes to play wit and also the diff heroes as well and its said u cant create characters in GW:EN its lvl 20's and other only but if u could u wont b able to do much
