    Default play SotNW or not

Well, I've just started a new school year today. I really want to not lose gaming in my schedule, right now I am playing NosTale, level 15. Its pretty good. Its a bit of a grind thought and right now im a bit too busy for a grindy game. I'm also hearing some good things about SotNW, I would really like not to be swept up in a hype whirlwind.

I am quite aware of the "stunnning graphics and sound" for a F2P. but how are the gameplay and grind. I just wanna know, if you could link me to a fair review that would be great too. Thanx in advance.

The gameplay is "unique", your able to control up to three characters at the same time. It's new and fresh from almost all F2P games, i enjoy it. I think you should give it a try.

Well I can tell you this, the gameplay is interesting just a tad more than the usual MMO since you control a group of 3, but this is a very non-grindy game simply because you can set your guys up someplace and come back an hour later and be leveled up 4 or 5 times. AFK hunting/leveling is a great feature, since it takes some of the tedium out of the game.

Plus the EXP bonus right now really helps things also.

As for a review of the game, there are plenty of them online. IGN, Gamespot, etc all reviewed the game. Just search google for sword of the new world ign review etc and you'll find them easily.

hmm well the gameplay is unique but it's a decent grind at higher levels and the real thing that kills this game for me is that it's almost useless to party because this game really is the soloist's game...

Somewhat true. I find partying helps you level faster, but you dont particularly need a party to kill, because you can have your own healer and such. There are some dungeons though with bosses and insane spawn rates, where partying is needed to survive (depending on your level).

its a good game and once you play you cant imagine it not being point and click and you dont have to point and click every enemy to attack you can set you chars to auto attack using skills with the keyboard, and since your in skool its another good game for you because you can afk lvl or "bot" and get xp while your in school, it doesnt always work though

Yes definetely you must give it a try! I love the soundtrack and the gameplay is stunning and unique with 3 chars. PvP is really fun too..
There are 15 vs 15, 3 vs 3, 1 vs 1.. You can set it all you want with the help of npc.

The majority players play at Vespanola. If you want a competitive gameplay, more friends to play with, better items sold at the market you know where to go!

This is the pvp video i made at lvl 72+
    http://youtube.com/watch?v=rSwOUQQxJww
bad quality video but gives u general idea how it looks like in pvp..
I guess you can search for any other better videos of sotnw in youtube

I made 3 lvl 100 chars in just a month.. and a half
Fun Fun! See you in Vespanola!! WOOoo

The community is going a bit crazy at the moment. I'll hold out for a day or two until K2Network responds.

    http://forum.swordofthenewworld.com/...p?showforum=54

Look at all of those topics asking the game to go back to Pay to Play.

It's extremely boring at first, but get interesting when you cannot rely on afk hunting at high level. That's what everyone said, though I quit after lv 20 out of boredom.

Em, You really want Detailed Review of this game? If no then dont read, If yes.. then read, but its a "Spoiler?" Or a.. "trailer?"
    1. 3 Character control
    2. Able to Afk train = Go to school and Afk train and POOF LEVEL 100!!
    3. Its not really a Click to attack Game, Its CTRL-Click and attack from here to there. (Same goes with the Picking up item)
    4. Yes it is a Solo type of game, but check this. Unless you go Blocking stance, High guard, you cant pratically kill Dungeon bosses thats 5-6 levels above you without a decent party (Not including those Pros that re-create an account, filled with Super upgraded Noob Equipments, and literally kills anything 10 levels above them)
    5. Theres a Interchange "Mission" Defend the Tower? Two sides (Left and Right) will get stormed by Monsters and Tons of Bosses, from Victors to.. Etc for 30 minutes if i remember. And if you win, GG! =], Its fun because you do it with 12 other families or was it 15? Though you wont enjoy it if you Graphically lag, and your party doesnt kill fast, causing huge Spam spawns.
    6. Theres a "beacon" war. I'd have to say from the back of my head 8 families vs 8 familes. They fight and while fighting, they try to claim those.. Mini-Buildings, and if you collect all, you win; meaning, "ALL UR BASES BELONG TO US"
    7. If you're a type of PvP person, then theres a PvP rank :O!! PvP Till you Number 1!!!
    8. Alot of other Hidden Characters to find. And they all have their Fun sides. Now theres a Key to all those Characters, if you get all those characters you made in the quarters to level 100 you get 100% Constitution (Including finishing all necessary quests) And 100% Constitution = POWER! It gives you bonus-es.
    9. Graphic's just Awesome, I dare you to Put it all maxed out and Do the Beacon war Full for both team and Stand RIGHT in the middle of the battle while casting a spell you're self =] See what happens :O
Theres more.. but my fingers hurt -.-

That doesn't really work after lvl 30 unless you stay at an area much lower lvl than you. The spawn rate means you have to run and use skills rather than just sit there and attack. The biggest problem now though, is running into a gold farming bot every too steps. Its actually worse than silkroad right now.
