Hey guys im back. And i almost got my fingers blown off.
Welllllllllllllllllll, as most of you know, i joined the marines, and i was stationed in Iraq. Well one day me and my buddies were in a building patrolling, a grenade was thrown into the window of the floor we were in, so first i was like "what the hell is that" than i freaked out, yelled "LIVE GRENADE!" so then my buddies ran behind a couch and behind the wall, but when i threw the grenade out, it exploded about 1 second after i threw it out the window. it exploded, and shrapnel ripped my hand and my arm and some of my lower right face and some of my right chest. Luckily, I didn't lose any of my limbs and all i have are big scars. when i was in the hospital, i had massive blood loss, mostly from my arm. all of my scars are almost fully healed and i recieved a purple heart. that was the scariest moment of my life, when i threw that grenade, i thought it was going to explode and shrapnel would rip my face apart. the doctor said taht i was lucky that the grenade blew up 1 second later, not 0.5 seconds later, or i woulve gotten my arm blown off.
