Default Online game with strong crafting/economy

Ive been playing the new harvest moon game for DS and its gotten me lookin for an mmo (preferably) with a strong crafting and economic system. Ive always like the idea of gatherin and creating and selling things in my own shop but no game has ever really allowed me to do this to my liking. Fighting is good as long as it doesn't completely dominate every aspect of the game. Just had my wisdom teeth pulled today so all the pills have me in the mood for a lot of sit-on-my-ass-gaming.
No Silk Road or Goonzu, if it has a price I can deal with it, I have a job and a credit/paypal account. If it is pay thou I'd like comments from someone who played.

    Thanks in advance

    Final fantasy online.

    Eve online too.
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear.

You shout and no one seems to hear.

Like Cingal mentioned earlier Eve Online. There's also Runescape but of course there's no real shop system implemented.

World of Warcraft? Though it's real behind in the aspect.

Runescape. I know there's going to be alot of controversy about this but if you want to buy/sell stuff with skills, go Runescape. The community is huge and there are plenty of things available to use to your advantage. POH... Despite the no shop system

Goonzu. You're basically forced to make a living off the market like everyone else, so the economy flourishes.

FFXI was fun and has great GFX but I never really got into it too much, plus my PC for school isnt as powerful as the pc we decked out for gaming that Im leaving behind. Gonna try 15 day of Eve and go from there since I've heard so much bout it. Very sick of WoW got a 70 hunter with best 5 man blues (not a raider, poor crafting system) so I'm just gonna wait for Wrath of the Lich King to start playing again. Runescape is.. well Runescape, very rarely I'll start feinding for it but not today ;P.

Thanks for that ideas so far, keep em commin

EVE is a great game, but it's very slow at first. When you get into the world and suddenly realize that you're practicle alone, left to make money (rather urgently) you can get pretty annoyed. But once you level your skills an dpurchase another ship other than a frigate, you'll have loads of fun.

I just freaked out when I bought me first Destroyer. (Which , ironically, is very cheap as the next vehicle you might want to buy)
