Never played Starcraft 2 but I'd say go with that. Warcraft 3 was amazingly boring.

For such groundbreaking awesome, I haven't heard anything about Starcraft 2 for awhile. So go buy that and see what its like.

If you like playing the standard games, Starcraft

Warcraft 3 is awsome for playing custom games, like Footies, Tower defense, etc.
