    If you have the administrator account, you have a virus. If you are on a guest account/child account, you need to get your father or boss to unlock it to play with those options...but if you're the admin, sorry, virus.

    I had a virus that wouldn't let me system restore, it locked me out saying I wasn't the admin.

    Then you have a virus. Did you ever go on any external links on chan/download anything...? Downloading things from chan usually nets you viruses, so does visiting external links.

    The virus can't be found, I had to reformat my computer, it's a virus that infects the registrys and system folder, making it nearly impossible to find, and makes the hacker the admin on your system, a remote admin.

    He was saying anti-virus crap, as in anti-virus stuff. Stop freaking out, reformat. Anti Virus software can only get you so far, that type of worm, can't be removed unless you regedit, which is unsafe. So, reformat and learn to not trust sites like chan.

    ::EDIT::

    A double post minutes later?...

    ::EDIT::

    ...You deleted it I see.

    Hmm, I don't recall freaking out.

    I dont know how to reformat. My dad always does it. I'll get him to do it I guess.

    I never downloaded anything of 4chan. I just saved pics. *right click, save as.*

    I went back on onRPG *Firefox tabs* and it was it was in the post replay screen. :/

    Please don't ever get a job in tech support.

    Read the error message

    Code:
    You do not have permission to change Catalyst Control Center settings.
    You obviously just do not have the privileges the control center needs to run on, this is no virus.

    TLM, I had the same message, except for System Restore. Trust me, after a bit of searching I found a worm that causes that, and the only cure on the forum, was reformatting. I forget the forum where people were discussing it and stuff, but it's a pretty bad worm.

    Oh and TLM, "please read the message".

    "Contact your administrator..."

    M'kay?

    I could care less if you see if it is or isn't. It's what it is.

    I found a little work-around that might help.

    Click Start then click Run then enter "services.msc" then Click OK
    Right-click "Event Log" then select properties
    Set startup type to "Automatic" then click apply and restart the system

    Just check to see if it's an Admin account still.

    Open the Windows Control Panel
    Open User Accounts then select your user account then select properties
    Change the profile to "Administrator"

    Try it.

    Oh, and it's "Your point". Read the message, a virus, can, do, that. I have had it on my computer as well, I don't see why you're trying to debunk my hypothesis, but whatever mate.

    Are you going to attempt to try the damn steps I just said?

    I could care less if you're with TLM on this one, I could care less if he is right, you wanted help, there it is, and why the **** are you talking with "0"s instead of "o"s.

    TLM, you want the virus? You've obviously never heard of Rootkit viruses, the worst of the worst. They **** with the system itself. So much for being "The Laughing Man" if you don't know what a virus can do 'eh?

    ...No? Obviously you're taking it as one, since you decided to randomly come in and start shit, when I am trying to help the kid. Oh and real mature with the numbers, no I do not "have problem with numbers". Looks like you forgot a "5" after that "m" in "pr0bl3m"
