i thought it was gonna be like ear plugged as in when you go on a airplane and your ears pop or something =\

You can get pierced at a bigger gauge to begin with, then work from there. You can go up like 2-4 gauges at a time, just do it as slowly as possible and in the shower cause it helps when your ears are warm and more stretchy.
