Well, the basis of this idea is to make an MMORPG (WoW) but make it fun in terms of needing skill instead of gear (Any shooting game).

When you make your character, you pick from a set number of classes. I plan on having 8 that branch off 3 ways as the char progresses. Example:

Hunter: Marksman, Gunslinger, Survivalist.

You start as a hunter, and when you reach a certain level you progress to the next line up.

This game will not be gear based AT ALL! You start with a weapon, armor, and accessory that compliments your job. In cases of the hunter where you can have 2 weapons (Bows or Guns, maybe more) You will have the choice.

If that's the case, we need character improvement per level, here's how:
When you level you get an AP, and your stats go up a little. What you do with your AP, go to a NPC and it will bring up a menu. Your weapon armor/accessories will have slots that you can put the AP into. When you do your weapon gets stronger, or your armor.

The combat will go as followed:
Enemies will be scattered around like WoW, or any standard MMORPG. All classes will have an aimer. When you move the cursor over an enemy it will change color. That means you can hit it. Swordmen have to get closer than gunmen (obviously). You left click to attack, much like RYL. ALL skills will be set up as EoE does the special attacks. when you finish the sequence, it will be on your bar, you press 1,2,3,4 etc. to set it , aim it, then right click and you'll cast it. on heals(unless it is indirect) you have to aim the person.

You get more spells by training it (when you use spells your magic exp goes up, when it dings you can learn a new spell) You can train at an academy, so you can practice it with unlm. mana.

There will be many ways to level. I have a system where you can level up by PvE, Grinding, Questing, Dungeons, and PVP. You are free to do which ever you want.

There will be a storyline and missions.

I am also thinking of adding in a customization system like Spore. Where you can create your own axes, guns, shields, armor. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5TXEUiR1Xk) there will be limits like, it can't be too big or too small. but you can color it and everything.

Also, there will be minigames like card games, racing (building your own car) and Really tough bosses.
Also PvP sky raids. You can also build airplanes and raid eachother to get to a mother ship, find the blue prints and shut the ship off..
Also there will be cities that are there no matter what and cannot be destroyed, and there will be player built cities, which can have their own tax rate, own shops which sell anything they want, for the price they want, and players can raid their cities and level it to 0. Also you can build them in the sky, land, underwater, but if you want to build them under water or in the air, you will have to buy extra stuff when you build them.
