(DOMO)Scam or Missed opportunitie?

Edit:It turns out that it's not a scam that the funds are go to the guild bank for everyone to use.However,if anyone is looking for a guild in DOMO then try joining Wonderland or Exodus both are great guilds.

Just as the title says,I'm not sure if what just happened to me was a scam waiting to happen or a Missed opportunitie to be in the first guild.Anyway,take a look at the chat logs and you decided what happened (I'm kinda at a loss of words at the moment but if you can tell me what you guys think it well help me out awhole lot).

(on a side note,I know 2.5k isn't alot of money but it's the thought that counts)

Forcing to pay to join a guild is probably the lamest thing ever, and I doubt the guild will do any good, Good Guilds require good leadership.

yup, cb not important for guild ^^; i wouldn't join a guild that ask for money either, especially if it was from some stragner.. i only join guild with friends where we will chip in money to form a guild for the save of being able to privately chat in large sum of people.

The stoopidest and most greediest thing ever. NEVER PAY SOMEONE TO JUST JOIN A GUILD. Even if you THINK its a good guild, they can ban you from the guild whenever when they want to.

Chyeah, I'm a branch leader in Wonderland and it's supposed to be private, so if someone offers to let you in Wonderland for money it's a scam, and it obviously sounds like that's a scam.

The only reason I trust the people in my guild is that I made the guild with them, and they're all people that I played the JP version with. =\

And I'm just warning you about the Wonderland thing because it'd suck if one of you believed it and payed to get in. I doubt anyone I know would do that, but just in case.

and did you even talked to the ppl in my guild?
They all paid the measly fee of 2.5k and got in right after the deal is made.

Meteo, Templar, Kevmaster, Neospring, Pwnator, Slyph...these are just some of the 20+ ppl in my guild who paid the 2.5k gold and got in, no questions asked.

and the reason due to the fact of 2.5k gold entrance fee is cause off a safely precuation and to increase the guild's fund box.
Whats the pain in dishing out 2.5k gold when i myself spend 40k gold on a guild.
and to top it off, you'll get incentives like our guilds Ventrillo's Server, Guild Chatroom/Fame/Mission, Guild party duels, Guild Fund Box, Guild Forums and much more.


And another reason why i didnt specify all this to you in game is due to some jerk in iced keep on duel spamming me looking for a challenge. Or else, i would explain the benefits of our guild.

Anyways I remember in MS where you had to pay a certain fee to get in to guilds.. Never liked them. They usually ended up being banned after a few days.

I think XTN is just very serious about running a successful guild
like he said 2.5k gold per person is going to the guild fund and there are some benefits for pay to join

of course it has some downsides like barrier for new members to join

join or not is ur personally choice, but Exodus is not a scam

A person should make a guild for a decent Reason, saying "I PAYED 40K TO MAKE THIS GUILD GIVE ME MONEYZ" Doesn't sound like a decent leader to me, a Leader should do it because he or she wants to bring together a collection of players, to either, play seriously for items/reputation/skill/items or a group of people who want to socialize together and make friends.

Ah...it is my belief people shouldent pay to be in a guild no matter how minimal or outrageous the price...Level requirment is enough for running a serious guild. And putting in a fee to stop someone from quitting a guild is a pretty stupid idea as well. I mean...think it through...you have to understand whats going through the persons mind. It could be a scam, (which is the most common thought because its easy to take and run...) they dont know who you are so you shouldent expect them to trust you. Not only that but you also have to realize that the entrance fee works both ways. While your thinking that if they comit the money to not quit, you gotta realize that they can see it as you having there balls in your hands. If they say or do something you dont like, you kick em, guess what? They just lost 2.5k...Not only that but if its not that much as you say, then people wouldent mind quitting the guild as well as its just some pocket change. Really, you have to think of not only the possibilities from YOUR stand point, but the possibilities of others, both negative and positive. That will be a step in a good direction. But if it was for the guild fund box, thats sort of like a forced donation, which isint right, if people donate, it should be because they want to.
