Does anbody here use windows vista? i need help

i just got a windows vista hardrive. And i cant download any files it. IT saying something about your security or something wont let files be downloaded.

Well perhaps its the permissions. They can set it so that u are a user and not admin and they do not allow you to download anything. They also have a root admin or something in the vista that can do more functions then the admin. So make sure your user has the correct privledges.

Sounds like parental controls.

Is your account classed as Limited? Try logging into an Administrator and edit the parental controls for your account, turning them off should help.

Or security software, firewalls and anti-virus could be causing the problem. Check your settings to see if internet restrictions are enabled.

Do you know how i can change the security setting? how do u change into admin.

Well, what user accounts do you have?

A default Administrator account is automatically made during installation of Vista, which can be accessed in Safe Mode if you don't have an Admin account set.
