Ok, so Project Torque is a racing game. It's got pretty good graphics and it's about actual driving and not boosting and getting powerups. It's REALLY hard because of the handling, so it's not just some twitch'n'drift type game. Or an arcade type game. Handling isn't... well, not THAT realistic, but a lot harder than games like Drift City and KartRider where it's all easy going. It's a constant struggle, for me... And i've just been running practice tracks, and I still suck really bad. ;D
Anyway, it's fun if you're more into the actual driving skill type of racing games instead of the "Who can get the best power ups and beat the shit out of/get more boost than the other one first" type racing games...
the reason why i like kart rider so much, is because its easy to play, but its definetly by no means easy to master, try mirror drifting and other types of advanced drifting etc, and its not easy as it sounds, also i only play speed mode on kart rider not items, and i find real racing games boring, for example live for speed and project torque, and i found drift city boring too >.<, although i liked the mission mode, thats about it hehe
Well yeah Kart Rider was pretty fun, but ehh... That stuff just doesn't do it all for me sometimes. I still like Drift City a lot and find it fun, but sometimes just more of the serious racing sim type stuff is what I like. AGGH! When I get a 360 (HOPE I get one...) I really want TDU, PGR4, and one of the new GT games... ;( And Oblivion GotY edition plus other kickass games... OMG I'M SO EXCITED...
Anyway, I think PT is in one of the early beta stages. Only 4 tracks and a limited variety of cars and upgrade (Most of the upgrades are grey and there is nothing there). I play on a practically empty server, so I don't know how easy it is to play with others. But let me tell you... No matter who you play, it's not hard to get left halfway around the track early on in a race.
So if you like racing sims as well that are about just racing and not all those items and stuff, try it. ^^ Quite fun. VERY HARD!!!
