1905 was too shattered, to splintered, too disseperate to for a cohesive revolutionary movement and so the autocracy was able to survive. Its bureaucratic infrastructure was easily able to withstand the assaults of the decembrists and octobrists and so 1905 was not to be the glorious year of revolution for those dissatisfied with the Tsar. More was yet to come. History would prove this.
