Default Any good free MMORPGS out there?

Seriously, are there any good mmorpgs out there? Last year I've been playing Flyff and I have to agree that it was perhaps the only MMORPG I went up to level 40. But now, it's been nearly 1 year I haven't touched that game again because of the lack of interesting quests, repetitive gameplay and as usual, anime style graphics which is way overused, not to mention the bugs that I have found... which is quite surprising to me that this site gives the game a 9/10, which I think that it's by far a good game, at best I would give it a 6/10.

And before that, I tried Maple Story, at first it looked nice, but it was another grind fest, and I quit at level 23 because of most of the reasons given above. My rating for this game would be a -5/10. I'm being very biased here but I just can't imagine how awful this game is, so pardon me.

Now I heard that there's a new game called Fiesta which I heard from people that it resembles flyff. I heard some saying it's a bit better than Flyff perhaps raising my rating for this game to 7/10.

I also tried Dofus, perhaps the best one I played yet which had a decent story but you have to pay to get access to more content and the graphics are not that great even for a 2D RPG.

So if anyone of you knows a bettter MMORPG which is free to play, then please give me your opinions. I'm looking for an MMORPG more targeted to Adults and hopefully, if it ever exist with a turn based battle similar to the Final Fantasy series (ABS battle system).

Already tried Myth War Online but character customization was lacking a lot.

Meh, imo, there are no good games out yet. Maybe after a few CBTs, we'll get one, but until then, try Fiesta. I barely played it, so I can't say much.

If you don't mind buying initially, I found Guild Wars to be pretty good. Quite engaging quests, interesting mission system, instanced mechanic which means no ks or waiting for bosses, and very little lag in the instanced sections. Lack of exploration and high aggro can get frustrating though.

Otherwise, I would suggest investigating means to playing Ragnarok Online free. There are several methods of going about it, the more devious of which we can't discuss here (though note they are abundant and not exactly hidden). But persist and you may find something that should keep you busy if it's your style of gameplay.

It sounds to me like you're burnt out. Too much mmorpg, not good for you, time to take a break . Same thing happened to me a few months ago.

Solution, go play some single player games for awhile. A few I played were 'Overlord', 'Oblivion' and the amazing 'Thief: Deadly Shadows' (one of the best games I've ever played).

When I finished that lot, I was ready to face a mmorpg again. At the moment I'm playing 'Rappelz' (it's not bad. Not great, but not bad) and I've been trying out 'Perfect World' (this shows a lot of promise, but the grind may kill it for me, I felt the grind start to bite at level 2. Ouch! >).

Someone mentioned 'Guild Wars' and I'd like to recommend that one too. Personally, I don't play it, I'm more of a solo player and in Guild Wars there's too much reliance on partying. But my Mother and Sister love it!

If you can find a good guild and a few friends, then you'll have a blast. If you prefer to solo, then try Rappelz. I'm playing an Asura Shadow Hunter and I'm not having any trouble at all.

Unfortunately, all of these free mmorpg's seem to be churned out by the same old machine. The only ones I've found that have any type of end-game content and offer a bit more to do other than grind, are Rappelz, Perfect World and Silkroad (to an extent).

    Anyway, I wish you luck.

Thats worked for me a lot.The longest I quit playing MMO's was around 2 years.I also played a LOT of single player games.Funny how you cure a game problem with another game.

Lol grind at lvl 2? I dont think so, Im lvl 12 and theres been like 2-4 quests per lvl and most of the quests have been giving me 40%+ EXP, so i dont know what you're talking about.
I dont no why so many people say theres grind...

Lol and mate...Rappelz aint a Solo game, once you hit like 20 or something (i forget) you go into dungeons and do dungeon parties

Maple Story has kept me playing for a long time
And the browser MMORTS "Travian" is really awesome. It's pretty surprising that a browser game can keep you playing.

WoW Sucks but its your choice. If your gunna P2P play L2. GW is pretty good but kind of simple imo. Don't know about dark knight, and f2p games do usually have bad support.
