Korean or Japanese?
I plan on going into Computer Science as my major and i'm very interested in the gaming industry. I am fluent in French and English. Would it be beneficial for me to learn Korean or Japanese? Even if i didn't go into the gaming industry but just as a general programmer for something else, would it be better for me to learn Korean or Japanese?

Japanese all the way, although english is the national commerce language, japanese and spanish are making a HUGE rise. Also, Korean companies are more MMO-centered, whilst Japanese companies (Dolphi (if it even exists), Nintendo (oh dear god they can buy a continent), Enix, etc.) were founded in japan, have their main offices in japan, and all the major CEO's speak fluent japanese.

I'd say Japanese. Almost every company that is involved in the gaming industry is Japanese, so it's very important for you to learn it if you want to get anywhere.

but japanese has a dozen characters that u have to remember as wellNo Chinese is... the most frustrating language to learn. EVER. A dozen words will sound the same, a dozen phrases will have extremely close meanings and you have to remember all those freaking characters. Plus you'll sound weird speaking Chinese, not that you won't speaking Japanese, but Japanese is just cooler.

The number of characters needed to memorize in the japanese language does not compare to chinese not even anywhere close to chinese.
Korean aside from pinoy and any other rejected asians (no offense to anyone, just saying that alot of them are usually never mentioned) are about the easiest asian languages there is to learn. Not counting what they talk in india though, that one is pretty tough.
If you start off with japanese you can learn korean simple, all you have to do is learn the characters and meanings as the grammatical part of the language is quite the same. I'm learning both more korean alot more slowly but it's not as complicated. I say just go with both it is more beneficial to know more languages anyways.

Japanese is going to help you out way more than Korean in the long run.
I plan on taking Japanese courses during college.
