If I download 20GB, it better give me at least 5 games.

Well for people that dont have alot of RAM i imagine its gonna be unbearable to play. This game probably eats a ton of RAM and 20 gb is just a bit too much... I mean the biggest game i ever dled must have been 8 gb tops. Plus from screenshots they over did the bloom effect. I hate how every new game now, in order to make the gfx better, they give the option of bloom. I freaking hate that so much since all it does it lags you even more.
Plus my pc doesnt even meet the gfx card requiremtn or the 3ghz. Also the game looks a lot like a cabal and WoW mixture from the screenshots
The game uses the Far Cry engine, if you can run Far Cry (on any settings) odds are you can probably run Aion with similar settings.
agreed. I know my computer can handle it but still 20gb. ummm Aion looks about the same as PW does to me. If there is any difference in graphics there is by far very little. But for a game to be 20gb and look like that, For 20gb I better have some real life virtual reality built into this thing like .hack.
just got new comp wanna see wat i can throw on it (bought 600 gigs of space)
20gigs not much
before they fixed rappelz during epic 3 it was around 30 gigs
Far Cry, and thus Aion look about 100x better than PW. Seriously. Heh.
And if I remember correctly, Vanguard was around 15 GB (or more) to install and patch. I don't see why a game being 20 GB is such a big deal honestly. With the fat pipes we have for the internet these days and 500+ GB hard drives, what's the big deal with a 20 GB install?
Well, the game is 20 GB on the HDD, not a 20 gigs download, ain't it?
It's like Vanguard, 20+ GB on the HDD as well. Heard the client was around 6 gigs. Still huge, though.
20 gigs is like 1/6th of my harddrive, maybe I should get a desktop soon. Anyway, patches could possibly bring that 20 gigs up to 25 gigs or more, you'd need some intense ram to run this game.
I don't see where i says that the client is 20g, but i may just overlooked it. And prob the download isn't 20g just the fully installed game is. And i hardly doubt rappelz was 30g ever xD And i think that Aion doesn't have better graphics then LOTRO, so again i doubt it will be 20g, or it needs allot of features just like others said.
Reputation: 72they are going to sort out the size i bet because it will be sold by disc and no it is not just about graphics although it has beautiful graphics the storyline and game play is said to be amazing but for now the battle system needs to be worked on and fixed since it is abit buggy

stop comparing this games graphics to crappy games like PW...
i mean geez do you have a freaking problem with your eyes. This game has better graphics than any mmo out right now.
and stop complaining about 20 gb...
vangaurd takes up 23, and im sure crysis is going to take up that much, so dont act like its the only big game. And it does look like its totally worth the HD space.
Requirements 20GB HDD, does not mean the game itself is going to be 20GB...yes that piece of crap that was Vanguard: SoH, when it was in its CB was almost 25GB...but then when release came it was about 17GB; yes that is still big. But, in this day and age of big HDD does it really matter?!
Reputation: 27How Long Does It Take To Get The Whole 20 Gig? I Wonder...........
Great Graphics, Naah---I'll Pass, Atleast I Need 15 More Years To Get A Extreme PC...

Found it on my son's PC.
WTH are you smoking??????
All games published by NC Soft can be downloaded at the PlayNC.com site. You dont need the disc, just purchase the code, and DL the installer.
NC Soft has set-up their universal account system to be very freindly. After you register, you dont have to worry about losing anything. Unless you lose your ID and PW to PlayNC.Com...... then you got to worry.
Ill be getting it ive been looking foward to Aion for quite a while now
Reputation: 10Didn't bother reading the whole thread, so not sure if someone else mentioned the same. When it states 20gb it usually means you'll be needing 20gb for temporary installation files(downloaded a compressed file with installation executable inside, extract it, then install it which will require extra hd space, etc), I doubt the game would be 20gb in size.

Reputation: 10So you call the largest and most successful mmorpg of china with over 500k concurrent users and over 30 mil registered user a crappy game!? I don't know if you have ever played it yourselve, but the game looks beautiful and is great because it combines one of the best aspects of lineage2 and wow and adds many other features on top of it... The only thing thats a bit bad are the not so perfect animations sometime and the fact that there is still no american/europe distributor except the malaysian one
To stay on Topic: I am also curious about Aion... so far it looks very promising. I wish PW would have NCSoft as their publisher ^^
Kind regards,
LD
Reputation: 10this is why onrpgers fail lol - 20gb haha I can handle it.
the GOOD games especially fps games take more than 5gb. So I'm used to it -
and it's still in devolpment so I'm sure they'll sort everything out to decrease the GB needed.
For a game supposedly this big, the details put into the game is not very impressive, looking at screenshots and videos. Fluidity is alright, could be better as well. Looks like another L2 game.. sigh.
