All mages has AOE spells, like Ragnarok online Lord of Vermilion, Storm Gust, Meteor Shower, Etc. In WYD Global, there is also Meteor Shower, depends on how many enemies pack in an area on how many enemies will be hit!

Ontopic:Ryl 2 ftw!You can attack multiple targets with a regular attack.The mages have a really awesome AoE skill.Watch this

Flyff - Most classes get several AoEs, but only after the second job transfer. (Level 60) This takes ages to get to, unless you power level.
Ragnarok Online - Wizards get AMAZING AoE skills. I recommend this game if you're willing to spent some time grinding. Magicians are fun to use anyway!
RYL 2 - Instant gratification, I guess. Leveling is fast, but the gameplay is quite repetitive. Mages get AoE skills galore. (I believe they require spell level 3+ and you have to charge for a second or so) If you want something fast-paced, this is for you. (I got bored, but some people love the game)
Metin2 - Same as RYL2. Character building is pretty boring. You have to go one way or another with stats. Skills are more forgiving, but there aren't many to choose from.
Sword of the New World - Grind aside, AoE in this game is pretty awesome. The only downside is that the AoE skills can only hit a certain number of enemies. -,-
Phoenix Dynasty - All classes get a low level AoE. This game is similar to Conquer Online, though. Linear progression... Grind galore. I hear the end-game isn't too bad.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. All of these games have decent or good AoE (Ragnarok Online has the best AoE skills in my opinion). There are probably a few that I just happened to forget. Also, you don't have to take my word for how fun a game is. If I say a game is boring, I mean that I got bored of it pretty quickly. You might love it. If you want to know more about any of these games, feel free to ask me. I played most of them for at least two hours. (Ragnarok Online got almost a hundred hours play time... Maybe more. Flyff got a few dozen hours of play time as well.)

American RYL servers are RYL underground and RYL Fusion. Underground is 2 and fusion is 1, I think. I havn't played it in a while but It was growing everyday. I don't know if it's dead or not. Although I'm slightly sure the servers are closed. You can always find out
