The single player is kinda boring, but the multiplayer RP servers is where the fun is. Float around until you find one with a good community, and it's awesome.
If you want single player RPing, I really reconmend Planescape: Torment. The BEST plot of any video game ever. You play as an immortal amnesiac who wakes up in a Mortuary with directions tattoed to his back. The combat is totally boring, but the story will grip you. I still wonder what can change the nature of a man.
