    Default Math Help

    Sorry, I know this isn't exactly an interesting topic but I do need someone to help me out with a probelm.

    The problem is:

    Solve x = pm(1/y + a/bd) for d

    I did the problem twice and both times I got an answer of

    d = apmxy/bxy-1bpmx

    I'm pretty sure I'm going about it the right way but it would be nice if a few others who are good at math could do the problem for me and see if I made any stupid mistakes as I have no way of checking myself and I would really like a 100 on my honors Advanced Math test tommorow.

    Ok but could you show your work? That looks better than mine but it would help if I knew how you got it.

    x = pm(1/y + a/bd)
    x/pm = 1/y + a/bd
    x/pm - 1/y = a/bd
    (xy-pm)/pmy = a/b * 1/d
    d= (a/b)*[pmy/ (xy-pm)]
    = yamp/ (xby-mbp)

    o.o
