I heard EB Games forced their employees to recommend any game to customers. If they give negative feedback about a certain game a customer asks for they might get fired. I hear they even hire fake customers to do these checks.Originally Posted by TaintedEon

They are a corporate business, they aren't going to give you 40$ for your 50$ games in a trade-in, they are a business out for a profit. About the CD Key, the keys were defective most likely, that could happen anywhere. It's not like Gamestop/Eb Games ran over to the Orange Box and used the keys, or put fake ones in it...;
