This is probably not new, but I've played it for quite some time. The grind isn't too bad, and the graphics are well with me. There are things to do besides grind, for example...
There is a Zone called the Burn. In the Burn you have to defend starbases, and build space platforms to help defend them. You also have NPC ships that spawn, and miner ships that attempt to cosntruct new shipyards, etc. It is alot like... oh, Hero defense, from Warcraft 3. In that zone anyways.
There is another Zone called Haven, where you still fight off the armada, but it's much easier. In Haven you have to fend off the armada and escort refugee ships to the starbases. You can also buy temporary upgrades, and skills from buildings in both these zones.
Then there is the D3 zone, this is your average zone where you cruise around, destroying enemies, gaining items, etc. Once in a while you can find a group of NPCs to help you by clicking the exclamation mark above their heads.
This game is still only in Alpha, but already worth giving it a try and see if you like it! There is also mining and crafting, and six races that you can choose from, each with their own specialties.
The game was originally made for the dreamcast, but after Sega went out of business with the dream Cast, the developers bought the rights to the game, and continued developing it for Online Play!
Well, not many tips. The factions ships are different, and the races usually have special skills that only they can get. Yes, this game is going to be Free to Play, the developers have stated, and I find it relaxing.
