    Default Building a new PC part 2!

    Okay well my last thread got to 2 pages.. but i didn't even get a final result.

    So what i have now is..


    Power Supply- £20

    I now need a Motherboard.. what supports DDRII ram and core duo processors.

    I need a core duo processer chip.


    And i need a cooling fan.


    I already have a graphics card...

    Sapphire RADEON X1950GT 256mn

    2- 1 GB DDRII RAM sticks

    2 CD drives

    Harddrive.




    My money limit is £120-130

    I already have

    £44.. spent..

    So please.. help.

    $ is cheaper than £.

    1 US$ = 0.483512233 UK£

    I don't know if they ship it to the UK sorry about that.

    Yeah its good, its Dual-Core, more important is performance than numbers, so in terms of performance its equivalent (and even in some games better) to the Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 processor, which is a good one.

    Let me put some perspective,
    An intel C2D E4500 + 8600GT + 2GB RAM = Command And Conquer 3 1600x1200 Highest Settings 2xAA - Good Framerate - 30+ FPS, so your system exceeds that by a lot!

    I also checked your celeron proccessor, I compared it to a Pentium 4 3.00GHZ, then I compared the x2 4400 to the Pentium 4 3.8GHZ, and the the 4400+ kicked it's ass!! Celeron is a very old processor! Single-Core Processors are reaching the end of their days.
