The only reason I agree with Bacn is because mainstream = popularity or biggest budget to shove it in people's faces to the point where it's cool because it's popular. Popularity or big budget doesn't necessarily = success. However, WoW get's a little bit more heat than it deserves. It's not a bad game, though I wasn't one of the ones to become addicted or interested in it. Since it's one of those instances where you probably only liked it because you hadn't played the games that it stole pretty much all of it's ideas from. Nor was it ever so "popular", if I may say, to play an MMORPG.
So, yes, I'm also apart of the "I hate mainstream" trend, in general. However, I didn't jump on the bandwagon blindly and I'll admit to something being good, mainstream or not, if it deserves the credit. WoW doesn't deserve it in my book, but I can understand if other people enjoy it because it's certainly not a garbage game.
Starcraft is pretty awesome, I think I would play a.... Universe of Starcraft anyone? lol I agree, the name doesn't really work. =\
They should really make it out like a Hellgate:London, the gameplay style that is, IF they made a starcraft mmo.

It's a video game, no reason to get so offended.
Personally, I think, going by terms of reputation, it'll be terrible and generic and I won't buy it because I simply don't like any game that Blizzard have made. (Starcraft was okay, nothing special for me.)
But, if somebody wants to buy that type of game, well, to me it's their loss, however, I see things differently than a lot of people...

I never like WoW, I played W3:FT. And I've heard great things about there other games. Just because you think they went on a different road on one game, we should not give any of their future games a chance. Hm, that doesn't sound right to me either.
