Default Do games use your download?

Well I'm on a 50gb adsl2+ deal with TPG Australia. I got uncapped 9 days ago and have already used 19gbs of my downloads. This is ridiculous! I only download 500mb+ things during my offpeak (1am - 7am which is also ridiculous)

All I play is Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike: Source. I do not recall using 10gbs of my peak download at all!!

Do games use up your download limit?

Are you serious? I've stopped playing games because I thought it would take up to much bandwidth, I have a limit too.

    Thanks.

Most games when you download installers or just the game itself its downloading the installer and not the game. So the installer goes to some random folder which you gotta find and delete which pisses me off.

I think packets of data are downloaded from the game's server to your computer when you play.... but 19GB? If you use a wireless modem/router, maybe someone's stealing bandwidth from you if you haven't secured your network.

me and my roomates use about three times our bandwidth limit on our current broadband package what with general internet browsing, streaming movies, downloading movies and music and porno and also gaming... but its ok because theres not that many people in our catchment area on the same provider, so its impossible for our area to exceed its limit.

    which is nice.
