Well, when i played Ms i did spend about $20 dollars and $10 gift by a friend of mine >< so thats about $30 , but i didnt get the kind of cash in only 1 month.. So maybe some people dont buy cashh $20 a month ^_^ maybe 3 months because the cash-items expires after 3 monthes of usage.

Ok WoW makes FAR MORE money than MS.
WoW= 9.3+million people ACTIVE paying 15$ a month (confirmed)
WoW= 10+million games sold 20-50$ and more for COllectors
WoW Burning crusade= 6Million games+ sold 20-50$ and more for collections
WoW= Action figures/special merchandice/manga ect.
Maplestory= 70mil+ accounts (Much less are active)
Maplestory= F2p with cash shop
Maplestory= not a very wide variety of merchandise.
WoW makes MUCH more money. And don't trust the Cenus sites. Its only CHARACTERS not ACCOUNTS and you have to download it. YOu download it and every character you see is added to the database and that site is North american only.

Wow I have no clue where u got off guessing that one lol. Maplestory doesn't have anywhere near the amount of players WoW has. The population of the games ALONE proves this incorrect. Also, probably half...or more then half...of the people who do play Maplestory...don't buy premiums. Yet all subscribers of WoW (over 9 million) HAVE to pay $15 dollars a month (or less if they get a package).
Also remember Blizzard makes money off more then just WoW, they are legendary game makers with some of the best games known. Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft III.

Well actually WoW now has over 9 million. The great thing about that count is that, WoW only counts ACTIVE, paid subscribers.
Maplestory has 70million REGISTERED users. A VAST VAST majority of them are nowhere near active anymore.
You won't find AS many un-active accounts on WoW, because accounts cost money, and u can't just make a bunch of trash accounts without paying a ton, unlike F2P games.
Blizzard will continue to blow gaming companies out the park with all their products (which is much more then just games, they are even selling $4,000+ gaming comps now lol...with dell).

MapleStory has a stereotype of its own. What you stated is the general stereotype for people who play MMORPGs, but it's commonly used towards players of World of Warcraft because it's the most famous MMORPG. People who play World of Warcraft are much older than the people who play MapleStory, so one has nothing better to do while the other choses to play the MMORPG.

in fact the 70m is not registered users,its actual users monthly.also,the number is far bigger according to some census.
the trick is that some players have mustiple accounts. as long as they login once per month in said account,they count for the census.
still imho MS makes a shitload more money than WoW.believe it or not, cash shop in a popular game gives a superb revenue, and in MS cash shop buying is something really widespread.

It is possible but unlikely. Do not be confused with open beta and gold/official. The open beta is for testing and usually, free. (Some games have cash shop in open beta) When it becomes gold/official (No more testing) it will become P2P or Cash Shop.
